Description
Cryolipoysis
Cryolipolysis involves controlled cooling of fat tissue through the skin to induce lipolysis through a process known as apoptosis during which the affected fat cells begin to shrink and break down and be naturally metabolised and removed by the lymphatic system, resulting in the reduction of the fat layer.
Ultrasonic Cavitation
Cavitation is relatively new to the aesthetic, cosmetic and beauty industry and is the use of ultrasound to convert fat cells within the body to liquid which can be filtered and drained through the body’s own natural drainage system
Radiofrequency
Radiofrequency technology is one of the buzzwords in aesthetics, beauty and medical markets with an ever-increasing number of radiofrequency machines and advancements in radio frequency technology. Though it has been around in the medical arena for over 70 years Radiofrequency has become renowned worldwide for treatments of the face and of the body.
Course Content
What is Croyolipoysis?
- Cryolypolysis is formed by the merging of two words.
- “Cryogenic” – Which means to freeze
- “Lipolysis” – Which is the breakdown of Lipids, which involves hydrolysis of triglycerides into Glycerol and free fatty acids. ( Ie the breakdown and removal of fat cells.
How does it work?
- Cryolipolysis is using low temperatures (+5 to -15 Celsius degrees) to freeze the fat cells. It is a temperature range that properly freezes the fat cells to the dead(non-bioactive) but still no harm to other tissue(dermis, muscle, fascia) yet. The frozen fat cells will be identified by the macrophages cells and be cleared away bit by bit.
Types of fat
- Essential Fat. – The fat you need to live. “Essential fats help regulate body temperature, vitamin absorption, cell structure, and hormones such as fertility hormones,”
- White Fat – The main form of fat cell in the body, this is what most people think of when they talk about fat.
- Brown Fat – The polar opposite of white fat, brown fat burns rather than stores energy,”
- Subcutaneous Fat – Subcutaneous fat is the layer of fat found right underneath our skin,
- Visceral Fat – “belly fat,” visceral fat is white fat that is stored within the abdominal cavity around a number of organs such as the liver, pancreas, heart, and intestines rather than right under your skin like subcutaneous fat.
